San Fernando Valley, CA – Today, Monica Rodriguez’s campaign announced another major endorsement: Former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan.  Her campaign released the following statement from Riordan:

A bipartisan, broad-based grassroots coalition has united in support for Monica Rodriguez’s campaign for City Council.  Hundreds of local community leaders, educators, small business owners, environmentalists, and working families in the Northeast San Fernando Valley are supporting her campaign.  She also won the endorsements of the United Firefighters Association of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Police Protective League, Los Angeles School Police Officers Association, Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters, SEIU-USWW, Laborers Local 300, Teamsters Joint Council 42, as well as endorsements from both Democrats and Republicans, including Mayor Eric Garcetti and former Mayor Richard Riordan, Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, Council President Herb Wesson, and Councilmembers Mitch Englander and Nury Martinez.
