San Fernando Valley, CA – Today, SEIU-United Service Workers West, representing janitors, security officers, airport service workers, and other property service workers, has officially endorsed Monica Rodriguez’s campaign for Los Angeles City Council.
“For working families, Monica Rodriguez is the clear choice for Los Angeles City Council District 7,” said David Huerta, President of SEIU-United Service Workers West. “As a lifelong resident of the Northeast San Fernando Valley, product of a working-class family, and with decades of experience as a community leader and public servant, Monica Rodriguez will make an immediate positive impact on the City Council providing the responsive leadership that working families in her district deserve.
The SEIU-USWW endorsement comes within days of Rodriguez securing the endorsements of United Firefighters of Los Angeles City and the Teamsters Joint Council 42 endorsement.
“I’m proud that working families are uniting behind our campaign to deliver high-quality constituent services and a fair share of city resources for the Northeast San Fernando Valley,” said Monica Rodriguez. “We’re equally hungry for results-oriented leadership focused that works to make all our neighborhoods vibrant and safe.”
Monica Rodriguez, former Los Angeles Public Works Commissioner, non-profit board member and volunteer, businesswoman, and neighborhood advocate is running for the City Council District 7 seat vacated by Felipe Fuentes. Monica is a lifelong Northeast Valley resident, raising her family with her husband Raul, in the same community where she grew up.
